Degu Mania - A Facebook group bringing together a bunch a Degu (a small rodent native to Chile) lovers.
A typography project, all created around Degus themselves. With the logo being shaped off my own Degu Normans stature in the photograph above.
Where as the type in the poster being created off of viewing the street typography of Chile (thanks to google street view), create a whole alphabet, to form a completely unique and quirky typeface.
Degu can see ultra violet light, unlike the human eye. This research turned into having a degu mode on the website and post. In the case of the poster you simply shine a UV light to reveal degu paw prints and messages they have written, where as the website has a 'degu mode' button switching to UV mode.
